秋吉理香子 生於兵庫縣，目前居住於大阪府。畢業於早稻田大學第一文學系。攻讀美國羅耀拉瑪麗蒙特大學研究所，取得影視製作碩士學位。2008年以〈雪之花〉獲得第三屆Yahoo！Japan文學獎。2013年發表的《暗黑女子》掀起廣大迴響討論，成為備受矚目的新銳作家，其他作品有《放學後變回死者》、《聖母》等。
